I want to make my truck sound meaner and louder. I want a deep sound. Should I just buy a new exhaust system? Anything I can get for around 250 bucks?

Leer camper shell; afe stage ll intake; 265's bridgestone dueler tires; rockford's power series 6.5's; tint on all windows; semi de-badged; weathertech digitial mats; grillcraft grill; blacked out headlights with eyelids; blacked out badges; and more to come.
I would just buy muffler, I know alot of Taco owners have gone that route. Magna flow, flowmaster are two you can search about on other threads.

ummm....you will get different answers from everyone, I would search exhaust and see if you can find some sound clips. I like the flowmaster super 44.

AEM CAI, Magnaflow exhaust, DT headers, all speakers replaced with (2) 10's and amp behind rear seats, color matched grill, grillcraft, projector headlights, 8000k HID's, DC Torque wheels, 3" Toytec lift, Bilstein 5100 shocks.
I searched different exhausts on youtube before I bought mine. Everyone has their opinion but I think borla and magnaflow sound pretty good.

Ya just the muffler should do it. idk how it would sound on a 4 banger. Some people I know with a 4 banger have been pleased with a flowmaster 40
