I can try to remember and measure up the panel next time I'm out with the truck and a measuring tape. It doesn't feel like I lose much, as I can store everything down below, and the few higher sitting items I have to work with just sit out front of it. It comes off in like 2 minutes as well, if I do need access to the full bed for whatever.

You mean total removal takes 2min? And nothing needs to be reapplied (seal) etc when reinstalling back on?

Just 4 latches and I can have it all off. No reason to remove the anchors, as they slide inside the bed rail. If those need to come out as well, it's a total of 8 bolts... so that may take another 2 minutes. There's 2 hand twist latches which would be at the front of the bed, and then 2 pull downs near the tail end, and then fold it up, and push together 2 snazzy latches to hold it all together. So if it's really cold, or if you're taking your time, maybe 5 minutes it should all take. It took only about 7 minutes to install when I did it.

Why do hey advertise these optional accesories needed? Are they not included in the package to complete the installation?

They don't have foam pads anymore. It's all a rubber gasket along the bottom now!

I have cleats already with my Tacoma, but some competitors trucks may not offer them... OR if you want to add more? From my understanding you can also add more rubber around the edges, but they included 2 foam stick pads that you stick in a small gap near the front of the bed, and so far that was more than sufficient to keep 99% of my water out, so I was happy with what it came with, as is. I didn't choose anything additional. I live in Canada, but I assume both are packaged the same.

Anyone yet confirmed and possibly ordered the little rubber inserts for the gaps in the bed? I saw earlier on this thread that they are 62541-0410 & 62542-0410.

I received my solid fold 2.0 two weeks ago and it came with a supplemental bag inside the box with 2 foam stick ons to attach the ends of the head rail.

So why the F*&k are 2 dealerships (including the one I've got my truck ordered from) refusing to install these?? They are ok with the oem or even a Bakflip HD which is also third party. I personally think the Extang looks great, but they say it does not fit properly.

I've been considering getting a cover for my Tacoma. This cover is the best looking one Ive seen. Doesn't look like water would puddle on the top like others. Thanks for posting.

When I installed the seals, it did not strip, and I used the T30, 3/8" drive short extension ratchet. The T30 screwdriver I started with did not do the trick.

It is a T-30. I broke them free with a ratchet then ziped them out with my impact.

One thing I noticed on install was the rear most screw for the bracket was too long and hit the factory rail bolt before being tight. Took care of it with the grinder. And the rail covers dont fit back on with the brackets installed.

I put mine on the other day.
Long bed if that makes a difference
T30 worked fine for the front rail for me, broke it free with a ratchet then used the drill for speed.
Had to put the back brackets as far back as they would go in the rail, with just enough space for the end caps to fit back in. Tolerances were very tight, like only millimeters to spare in the rear. I can see a dealer who didn't want to spend time tweaking it would say "It doesn't fit".
But since then works great! Dry in the back in PNW rain, easy to remove single handed, looks good.
