New Firestone AT

    I've noticed this too. Glad I have the running boards. I've head several rocks ping off them when I get on the highway. I'm sure this will go away with a little wear. My wife's FJ doesn't do this.

    Thought I'd post an updateon fuel economy. I've had a slight drop in mpg with the Firestone AT.
    My average mpg with the Firestone AT is: 18.67
    My overall average with the Dunlop was: 19.22
    However, my driving changes thru the year based on when I have to drop my child off at school versus the route I take to work in the summer.
    My average with the Dunlop last year for the same time period as the Firestone was: 19.77

    So it looks like I'm getting an overall 1 mpg drop. Still, the benefit of these tires far outweighs this, IMO.

    Same as everybody else...
    I like my Firestone A/Ts. I travel gravel roads a lot and they tend to pickup and then throw a lot of stones. Thats my only gripe, other than that it's a solid tire.
