I kinda figured that. Hope the new one looks a little more like this. Not everyone's style but I kinda like it. Would have to see it in person to get a better view.2019-Ford-Ranger-USA-front-e1474456028175.jpg

Looks like a Mexico plate? It's like seeing the occasional Mexico hilux down here in Texas.

The rumor mill continues to turn. I think Jalopnik posted something about the new bronco(which will share the platform with the ranger) using the 2.7 ecoboost.

For those of you who haven't driven anything with that motor, go take a test drive. It pulls like a freight train AND gets excellent mileage. We have a 2017 f150(long bed, standard cab, 4x4) for a shop truck with the 2.7 and i love it. It gets 20mpg with mixed driving(lots of stop/starts) and 22/23 @ 70-75mph.

If they put that motor in something the size of a Ranger/Taco and keep the price competitive, I'd be tempted to switch teams, which sucks because I love my 3rd gen EXCEPT the motor.

If they get a little more metal and less plastic, put in the EcoBoost 2.7L and take my money already.

^^ There's a new Ranger parked in front of my hotel room now. Will take photos in the morning when there's more light. Looks pretty sick, and like he has different suspension in the front. Back looks stock. Looks like what MKW posted.

Pousada Sao Felix do Jalapao, in Jalapao, Brazil. There's about a 160-mile dirt road to get here with washboards, soft sand, and deep ruts. Lots of cars get stuck, and my driver's wife is lucky to be alive after she crashed her car on tis road when we were driving in. I'd say cars have to be tough, but there are many old cars here, too. This is the first Ranger I've seen, but just walked around the corner and saw it like "daaaaamn." We're in Chevys which seem to be holding up, but they also have a lot of Mitsubishis and Toyota Hiluxs around town.

Yeah, and my first time here. Ever been to Brazil? We're in the savannah rather than the rainforest. Cool seeing these new cars down here...

Nice. Always envied your career path... also didn't realize you moved to LA. Lol

Never been, but on the to do list. Just was down in Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, and of course some time in the Caribbean. Need to explore more of South America... unfortunately I think I'm due back to Europe and South Asia first tho. Actually was suppose to be back in Amsterdam in September but cancelled it. :anonymous: Trying to squeeze in sometime too down in South Africa :goingcrazy:

    No.

If we're talking about trucks that suck then it's probably made by Chrysler.

Since I last posted in here....Seen 3 rangers on the side of the road with blinkers. Also seen a Ranger on the rack in a Trans shop. Then a few days later....A new style F150 racked up where the Ranger was in the tranny shop.

Haven't seen on Tacoma on the side of the road or on a rack in a trans shop with a jack under the rear end to keep it's ass from falling off the rack since it don't have a trans in it. Kinda throws the weight balance off.

Keep fuckin' jackin on Ford though. Chrysler/Jeep is even worse. I laughed when I saw C4x4 is in a fackin' Jeep.

    No one learns.

Go get ya some of those Ford Explorer Sport Tracs. Cause that's all that shit is. Fuckin' Explorer. Worst piece of crap Ford has ever made. Have pulled DOZENS of those Tranny's. Dozens.

And then go buy a Diesel too. And then come back and complain about how much everything costs on it.

heheh Yeah, been in L.A. for a bit, BUT I travel so much and used to change the area on this site. Just came back from Amsterdam three weeks ago and heading back in Sept/Oct. Wtf did you cancel?? :) Sounds like you have a VERY full itinerary. Europe a work trip? Colombia sounds awesome from what people tell me...

PS To the Ranger folks: It left earlier than when I got up today, so no pics beyond the dark one on the Live thread.

It will be offered in regular cab with a headache rack!

Rear axle looks a bit like Toyota's, except the shocks are mounted inboard of the frame. Factory flipped U-bolts are nice!

Interesting, it looks a lot like a Nissan Titan and a Ram 1500. :fingerscrossed: for the regular cab.

I see a grab handle on the passenger side, hope they are smart enough to put one on the drivers side too.
