Since it's a brand new motor instead of one that they are trying to adapt to US standards from overseas, my guess is that they designed it with the US market in mind.

I always thought the TRD Pro was kinda cool, but was missing some of what makes up a raptor type vehicle which I think the ZR2 captured, but was still ugly.

If this actually comes here and is priced close to the ZR2 I'm down AF.

What should they cost then? Because the ranger raptor is going to cost more than my CrewMax 4x4 Tundra guaranteed.

Hmm. Will a new North American Ranger, and especially a Ranger Raptor, eventually impact upon the always dependable resale value of our Tacomas?

You can get a Ford for way less than MSRP unlike Toyota. I think the Ranger Raptor will be priced slightly higher than the Pro, but by the time negotiations are done, it could cost same or slightly less than a Pro.

This Raptor setup is for the Asian market. Doubt we get the same engine in the North American market, we shall see though. Competition is good. It's kind of crazy Ford has enough demand to make a Raptor variant Ranger in Asia. Kind of cool.

I like diesels, but sticking one in a "Raptor" version that will be slower than the standard 280 HP ecoboost might be a bad idea. I hope they offer that engine as an option in more of a standard version for those that just want a good economical light towing rig.

Good luck with that. You're gonna pay over sticker since demand will be so high just like with F150 Raptor and TRD Pro.

Check out of the 3rd gen section all together while you're at it. You provide nothing helpful and you don't even own a Tacoma anymore. Get a life.

Resale doesn't bother me. I keep all my vehicles until they fall apart. All 3 of my Toyota's are 11 years or older, all of them built in Japan.

The current generation of the Tacoma to me doesn't inspire the dependability and reliability of the past. I'm hoping the overseas influence in the design of the Ranger will make it a different truck.

Ya please tell me where they discount the current Raptor. It’s not gonna happen with the Raptor model.

210 hp and 368 lb/ft diesel...why bother? Even if the standard Ranger only has 280/310 like the Explorer, I'd rather have an HO (Mustang) version of the 2.3 gas with 310/350 in the Raptor.

    Ford, where's the manual?
