Just installed Fox 2.5 C/Os up front and the lower eyelet is twisting in the LCA mount so much that' it's contacting the metal. Yes, the alignment spacers are installed correctly with the longer one in front. Yes, I can twist the lower shock body so that the eyellet sits straight in the LCA mount, but as soon as I drive it rotates again. Any help is appreciated. Btw, I contacted Fox and they said "rubbing occurs." Not cool.

The other issue is a loud clunk after stopping hard.

Rock Lobster, I contacted Fox a few days ago describing the issue. They told me Tacomas have been a problem for them due to the tight fit; they give us a longer front spacer to avoid hitting the sway bar. I let them know we need equal length spacers and rubber isolators on the sides. They were very receptive to finding a solution. Long story short, they are shipping me the parts now; Ill let you know how it works out.

I had this same issue when I initially installed my 2.5's as well. I stumbled upon the rubbing on one of my routine inspections. From what I could tell the lower part/leg of the coilover rotates when you make adjustments to the collars. Once my ride height was set and both adjustment collars locked, I simply used my aftermarket spanner wrench on one of the collars to torque the lower half/leg back to center. After thousands of miles the leg has not made contact with the control arm. It appears the leg does not rotate a whole lot on its own, but easily rotates off center if you make any collar adjustments.

Now that I think of it, can't recall if I torqued on the collar to center it back up or if I simply used a crescent wrench on the leg itself. I think I used the crescent wrench method, or both. It's been a few years..

The parts from Fox came in. So far customer service is excellent. They sent exactly what I asked for free of charge in an effort to make the product better.

Finally had time to install the replacement equal length spacers and isolators. Nice snug fit.
