Ok so we all know Toyota is doing frame replacements in several states.
I was notified last week that my '07 with 50K needs a new frame.
The theme of this thread is to discuss the additional work required(i have seen new fuel & brake lines listed in other threads),or desired(i.e.,poly body bushings,upper/lower control arms,etc.).
Please keep the discussion to the additional work you would like or need to have done & not the recall itself.
    Thanks.

The frame replacement includes LCA's and brake lines.

I am waiting until the spring, but plan on new bushings/ball joins for my UCA's and hopefully coil overs for the front and shocks for the back.

Wow this is totally different from what I was told by the dealer tech last week.
He told me the only items that are included other than the frame are the bolts that hold the body to the frame.
    Is this incorrect?

When they did my brother in law's last year he got new rear springs, new lower control arms, all new brake/fuel lines, lots of new hardware, and they actually even replaced his lower steering knuckle at no charge too.

When we replace a frame the first thing we do is a good tour of the truck to see what should be replaced while disassembled ie. Upper ball joints, intermediate, shaft rack and pinion etc. it is definitely to your advantage to replace the parts that are due because the techs will have them in their hands and you will save on labor.

As far as collateral parts that need to be replaced because they broke while disassembly usually the service manager has to make a report with tas to have permission to replace the part. (I have never had a part that they didn't pay for)

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
You could request they bring the kit parts to the new install, but you may have to pay a little extra for the bushing swap out...

Lj,yes it is a aftermarket poly bushing kit that includes almost all bushings(body,steering,etc.).
Bld,yes, although some of the parts(like the body bushings)just need to be inserted before they drop the body back down on the frame.

A member on another thread was discussing the 28 plugs that are included in the frame coating fix.
Anyone know if they include these for the frame replacement?

I "think" the plugs are part of it but I am not sure. I will look on my service write up later today.

So I finally got my truck done a few weeks ago.
I got it home & it would not crank,& the 4wd did not work.
Dealer ( freedom Toyota,Harrisburg,pa) fixed everything. Highly recco the dealer.
    Anyway here is the parts they installed;
    Frame
    LCArms & bushings,bolts
Rear springs & bushings, bolts, new springs next year?
    Brake lines & fluid
    PS fluid
    Front dif actuator & fluid
    Bolts,nuts & fasteners throughout
Had them install Energy Suspension body bushings,NC.
    $12k in charges.
Truck drives better than new & tight as hell.
