New From Alberta

Hey all,
Decided today that I'll be calling my local dealer in the morning to get on the list for when 4th gen orders begin. It will be my first Tacoma. I'm currently driving an '09 Sierra half ton that I've had for ten years now. It's been a great truck with almost 250,000 km on it now, but I get about 14 mpg and looking for something with better mileage and that will be a reliable vehicle for the next 15 or so years.

I'm leaning towards ordering a TRD OR. I won't be doing any intense off roading, but I live close the Rockies and spend some of my time in the summers hiking/camping and chasing storms in the winter on my snowboard.

Welcome from Grande Prairie. I'm sure you'll find the Tacoma a nice upgrade from the Sierra.

 

It will be interesting to see what actual models we can order, no mention of the traditional Offroad model in any of the press for Canada or States. If I was buying new thats what I'd be looking for, base Offroad.

What color ya getting?

 

Was thinking dark silver, but would be hard to pass up lunar rock if it came with it.

 

I was kind of looking at a new one for a minute there. Was bummed they stopped with the Cement. Haven’t seen the Lunar Rock in person.

 

Yeah cement was a cool colour. Saw a new dark silver (I can’t remember what the official name is called) the other day and it looked awesome. Who knows what the new ones will have options for.

 

Was it the Magnetic Gray Metallic?

 

Yes that’s the one! I liked it quite a bit, it’s the one I’d probably go with if I can.

Well deposit is paid, now we wait to see what I can order. Mid to late summer they figured before they know what prices and trims etc are available at the start here.

 

When is the ETA on delivery?

 

Late Nov to early Feb. Pretty big window. But it’s still pretty early.
