Are those mountains local? Nice views. Any trails around there? We've got another trail run coming up in Oct. Check it out and chill with a good group of guys all local as well.

I would be into some local trail runs for sure.

I always have Sunday and Monday off every week so if you guys plan a Sunday trip I am in.

I might even get the old man to come with he has some old school Toyotas including a 74 FJ-40, a 91 extra cab V6 4x4 pre taco and an 88 Land cruiser wagon.

I grew up in the area going to Borrego springs and Ocotillo wells and superstition.

I have been meaning to do the grey wire mod but i really dont like poking around with the trucks electronics..

What is really required to make it work?

also it allows me to engage the rear locker at anytime?

Micah, it is so easy it takes longer to round up the tools than it does to do it, Go to your Dads, he must live just around the corner from me cause I'm half a block from the coo coo, I'm on sunset rd I could do it /show you in about 15 mins THE best easiest single MOD going for 1st gens. I did it about a month ago & been kicking my self for not doing it sooner, go to the grey wire mod thread & go to the second to last page I posted a couple pics & a short vid om what to expect....:D

No grey wire mod for me, spent the last hour trying to get it working right...

If i do anything with the wire it engages 4wd and wont disengage.. had to reset my ecu 3 times and dissconnect all wires from it..

kept putting the green 4wd light on the dash lit.

    wasent meant to be..
