I live in Tacoma! I'm gonna buy a Tacoma! It was meant to be.

I'm a Jeep guy so normally I'd make fun of all this Japanese haberdashery but dang it, Jeeps break a lot. THERE I SAID IT. I need something reliable, and it would be nice for once to own a whole vehicle instead of a collection of mismatched parts pretending to be one. Don't get me wrong, I love my Jeep and it's not going anywhere but HOLY CRAP that thing is a piece. Not to mention it doesn't have much of a top and IT'S COLD OUTSIDE. AND WET. AND I HAVE NO HEATER. See where I'm coming from? I take pride in my rejection of creature comforts but gosh darn it there's got to be some middle ground!

I've never been much of a truck person but I've always liked Tacomas. I don't like big huge trucks and I don't have anything to tow around. I haul a lot of random crap around so it'll be nice to have the bed to throw it in. I considered getting some sporty little Subaru I can do 140 in but if you've seen my driving record you can guess why I'm hesitant to own anything terribly fast. Plus my first car was a Camry and that thing was a beast so Toyota is all right in my book. I drive their forklifts at work and I must say some of them are rather nice (although I find it hilarious that the accelerators stick on a few of them...)

So I haven't bought a Tacoma yet (don't ban me!) but I'm looking at a few and will probably pick one up within the next couple of weeks. I'm looking to get a first gen V6 5 speed 4WD. I look forward to pestering you all with silly questions and then ignoring you for months until something goes wrong and I need your help! I will try and be somewhat helpful but I tend to yell a lot and make bad puns, so we'll see how it goes.

Wow you read this far! Sweet! Anyway everyone here seems like good people so I look forward to joining you all in Tacownership soon! :D

Welcome to TW from Portland! Once you start driving a truck you will never be happy in a car again. I know, I tried!
