    Hey All,

Long time lurker, first time account owner. The roads up here have absolutely torched my suspension, so I'm looking for some info on a new setup. Love my Taco, so instead of selling it for the latest and greatest, I think I'll just run it into the ground :)

70k miles, and currently running 265/75/16 Falken tires for the TRD. Mainly a commuter with light off-road on jeep trails and forest roads, like the rest of everyone. Hauling 300lbs of guns, gear, etc. regularly.

Coilovers all the way around, or can I get away with just a front upgrade with leaf set in the back. Like I said, the set is effed, and in need of replacement.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

Welcome! I live in Chesapeake… but anyways… sounds like your on stock suspension so I think even an ome replacement would do you well. But I would do an upgrade, even the bilstein 5100 would last you another 70k+. And not break the bank.

Yep, running stock right now, Thanks! The 6112/5160 combo with a leaf in the rear seems to be pretty popular. Appears to achieve some more stability, improves carrying load, and maintain some reliability (relative to the stock suspension.) The 5100s seem fine, but I like shiny things lol

I run the 6112/5160 combo. Really depends how much you want to spend. The 5100 is a super popular choice, that’s why I recommended it. I use to have it on my first gen. I love my current set up on my 3rd gen with the 6112/5160, really depends what you want to spend.
