I just had shocks, struts, steering rack, and outer tie rods replaced. Backing out of a parking spot today, so basically a Sharp right turn going backwards, and I hear a pop. Everything looks good, no leaks and I can make it happen again. Any ideas? I don't think I'm getting tie rod contact or anything. Everything is stock.

Probably original ball joints. 02 4wd. Parts should all be oem except rack bushings which are energy suspension

Just when moving - at a sharp turn like pulling in a parking spot real slow. I did notice the pump seems to work a little harder at max turn now but probly besides the point. This work was done yesterday

I would take the truck back to where you had the work done and ask them about it. Are they a good shop you know?

Check your power-steering fluid level too.

i think the tie rod ends are on backwards and hit the wheel - which way should they curve? in towards the back of the truck, out towards the front of the truck?
