haha ooo black and red kind of sucks sometimes!!

my rims (black chrome) are a bitch to keep clean, the rest of the truck isnt to bad when its dirty but when you get close you can tell its way dirty haha.

but after i wash it people always ask if i wax it and i never have, the color just shins that much!

back when I was looking for a truck I really wanted an x-runner but at the time was too expensive so I was looking at s-runners. Couldn't find one around here so I went with an 03 DC. Very nice lookin truck and looks like a lot of fun to drive. Oh and Welcome from Scottsdale :)

*I don't have a sportbike......I'm still having a hard time getting myself on anytype of bike.

*black chrome is beautiful. Have no clue what kind of upkeep it is. As for the red....red ages very fast too. Fading happens fast, especially if your Taco has red flares...they turn pink over time.

*This is true. A nicely waxed deep shine on either one is stunning!

*The SR is WAY fun to drive. I am looking forward to ditching the 20's for 18's. Get a lil' pep back in her giddy-up :D

SRs are hard to find...especially the more time goes by. They are pretty rare. They are pretty highly sought after by street Taco guys.

    Welcome from SD.

    Very clean looking truck.

You should come down to SD and meet up with us so that Ryan does not feel alone with his truck. He is always running with the PreRunners and 4x4s.

hell ya i love it, its really something that people dont have its either black or its chrome, and im not a big fan of chrome and i think it would look horrific on my taco! and well black is well black...but it can look awesome!

and the fading is true gotta start waxing, just takes for ever! and no i dont have any flairs so no worries about pink haha :)

oooo and your rear end (the taco not you obviously) is sick! i love the lights

Yup, they are 89-93 Caddy lights. They are red candied, and smoked too.

I have caught a lot of heat from Taco purists as well as SR fans...lol But the mod reflects my personality to a T.

Purists get mad about an American mod on an import.....it's a custom...the minute you start cutting it up....I could care less where the part is from. It's a custom........it doesn't matter anymore. Second, SR fans think I "RUINED" a perfectly good SR....It's my SR and I never plan to sell it. It also has a great deal of sentimental value to me and memories I have attached to my brother. He was killed 2 yrs. in a motorcycle accident (not looking for condolences, just explaining). Then I sometimes get the..."it's played out". On a S10 it is, but there is another reason not many Tacos have them. To french the tail light, you have to cut out a portion of the bed. An S10 has a wider bed wall and no rear fabrication is needed (you can also french the hell out of them easily). So a rear cover has to be fabricated after you get the buckets in. LOTS of work......Way more than doin an S10. So I am pretty proud of my tail lights even though I have become a bit of the outcast for having them. I certainly don't mod my truck for other to approve of, I do it for me, what I like. Personally, that's the way it should be. Just because somebody doesn't like a mod, if it is well executed, a true enthusiast always respects that. :D Also, most the work on the tails is lead work....that was fun to work with. Lol!

I am very impressed with everybodies kind words....other forums I was ripped a new one when I first joined.

ryanjboutin? He keeps the other site fun. :D He cracks me up.... I would love to...I just get all poopy about driving that far cause my truck has such high mileage...for some reason it depresses me. Thank you for the compliment too. :)

Use a marine wax.....use a buffer...finish lasts like 6 months and the UV protection is better than ANY car wax....less expensive too.

Bwahahahaha! Rear end? LMAO...I knew what you were gettin at. Doesn't seem to be quiet as pervy around here as elswhere. hahahaha....and thank you!

I'm enjoying it here quiet a bit. It has been useful to me as well. Like the clutch squeek problem...and a couple other threads. I knew I wouldn't be able to contribute to much to TW as much but extracting any helpful info. is always a good thing.

I also like the set-up of this site a lot. Having a gallery, being able to see each persons truck mods by running the cursor on their truck description. Small things that are a big difference.
