Now that the 4th Gen forum has taken the first position in the list of forums, I find myself clicking into it on accident because that's where the 3rd Gen Forum button used to be. It's been so second nature for me to tap that spot, and now I have to think about it.

Welcome to the 4th Gen! Looking forward to seeing it. I'll move my thumb over on the screen now...:(

Now you understand why the 3rd gens got so much hate from the 2nd gens.

Been doing the same. The end date on the 3rd Gen takes some getting used to also.

    I'm used to it.

Had to get used to it on Tundras when 3rd gen came out.

I look forward to the 4th gen getting some traction with 3rd gen owners. I will buy a 4th gen one day, but I will not purchase a first year version.

i bought a 2016 sport that was built during month one of production and it was a nightmare of issues. I have since bought two new gen 3 sport’s with nearly zero issues with over 100K miles of usage on each truck.

I’m super curious how the EV will play out and if MT will be an option. And how many mods might transfer.

Good plan! I bought my first 2nd Gen in 2005 (first year of that gen) and unlike my perfect 2001, it did have issues (ABS brake system, clock spring causing air bag light to come on, to name a couple), but not so bad that I left Toyota.., In 2009, I got my last Tacoma (a 2010 model) and it has been nearly perfect for the past 15 years!

So, avoid the first year of a new generation Tacoma, if you can!

The sad part is when the 3rd gen ended it was mad hype for the rush to get the last v6 tacoma ever made by Toyota. I fear the 4th gen will be the last internal combustion engine Tacoma. Will be interesting to see in the future how people will be tripping all over to snatch up the last gasoline powered Tacoma’s when it finally comes to an end
