New Goodyear Wranglers

Hey guys, hope everyone had a good holiday. Does anyone on here have any experience with the new Goodyear Wrangler R/T tires? Particularly interested in road noise. Read where Goodyear supposed to have changed the compound and some tread design to eliminate road noise. Thanks for any info.

 

I have had about every Goodyear Wrangler tire made and all of them make road noise after about 10k miles. I just did a Google search on the R/T line and they have an aggressive tread pattern that I suspect will be the same as all the others so if you are concerned with road noise I wouldn’t buy them.

@Shadow1 Is noise and road comfort a top priority? What area do you live in and is 3PMSF needed? Vehicle usage? FYI: Goodyear did not change the compound on the new RT from the original Duratracs.

I have the new Duratrac RT in 255/75r17.
As for road noise they are pretty good for an AT tire.
I have about 6000 miles on them and they have been great so far and are not any louder than my Toyo Open Country's that I had on before them.
So far my only con is that my gas mileage has dropped by 1mpg
