Just got my truck 2 weeks ago as a present from the wife and the kids have begun!

so far I’ve installed the center console tray, blacked out emblems and tailgate insert, led interior lights, scotch guard interior, LED headlight/fogs and just installed a MC auto TRD Pro grill! Good quality grill and was 130 ish plus the garnish I got off Amazon for 28.

Question- is a CAI intake worth it?

Hey....Congrats on the truck! IMO the minimal gains you are gonna see are gonna be at higher RPMs ...so unless you doing a 100 on the highway all the time and driving your truck like a race car I would save the money for other things and stay stock

Welcome OP! I have a CAI because i was excited like you to mod my truck. Save the money for some nice tires and wheels or a cover for the bed. Just my two cents, once again welcome.

The stock CAI is just fine.

This is the one I was looking at.

Only because it keeps the well designed factory air filter box and gets rid of the ugly resonator box thing. I think it would look cleaner under the hood. But will it add any power or performance? I think probably not much to really notice. I'd like to have it but I've put bed mat, bed cover, seat covers, and will put tires and a lift before that.

Welcome to TW. Nice cement Taco!

Nice truck. I have the TRD CAI and don't notice and power or performance gains. Only thing I have noticed is the engine responds a little better, but I also did the trd exhaust, so who knows. Looks cool though :) All comes down to personal preference. TW helps me spend all my savings with all the mod ideas. Its addicting.

I’m not an expert but I asked the same question when I got my Taco. Seems the majority said the money is better spent elsewhere
