    Hey guys,
My brother picked up a lifted 2000 ext cab Tacoma last summer and is starting to have some issues with it. So, I'm on here using the search button and looking for a good place to find aftermarket performance exhaust and engine parts for his truck. OEM parts I'll buy from Rockauto.com. Just saying hi, and I'll try to grab a few pics on his truck. Thanks.

Cool man, welcome. What kind of problems is he having with it? Or maybe you just meant he wanted to change it up a bit?

Well, his IACV went out. Idle was up and down. I told him to unplug it and plug it back in. Idle stayed high. That part has been ordered same with gaskets. He just ran codes and there were a bunch. I know he mentioned O2 sensors as well. Looks like a PITA compared to a vehicle not meant for off-roading. haha. And he does have an exhaust leak but will try to JB weld it until he can save some money for a Magnaflow. Oh, he's got a V6 manual and just replaced the clutch.

Any vendors sell bolt-on headers and cat-pipes for the V6 tacoma's? It just doesn't seem to have the performance base that I'm used to coming from twin turbo Nissans.

Damn, doesn't sound like the truck was taken care of very well before. Check out URD, they sell a BUNCH of aftermarket engine stuff for Tacomas, including headers.

Good looks. Not sure how well it was taken care of but he loves his truck. 135k miles on the original engine and she still runs like a dream. Just need to button up the codes. Got a truck box for Xmas. For his bday, we want to get his bed Line-X'd. First things first.

Haha. Thanks, guys. I've got a few more "interesting" ones I was debating on using. After poking around this site, I've got a pretty good foothold on where we need to go to buy parts from here on out. :)

He got the IACV in the mail from Rockauto and installed it. Ordered O2 sensors for the front and rear also. Should be doing them this weekend. Now he just has to check if his truck has EGR to see which headers we need (EGR vs no EGR provision). Magnaflow exhaust will be going on at the same time. Just gotta save the money. Only been a member for a few days and already found this forum to be a great resource.
