Well I guess I'm new here, but finally back with a Toyota truck. I will be picking up a new 2018 Tacoma TRD OR tommorrow. I have been reading here for the past week or so, trying to get back up to speed, so to speak, on Toyota Trucks. I had previously owned a 1989 Toyota truck 2 dr, base model 4x4, (before they had model names) that I owned for 20+ years, before selling it to buy a F150 4 dr, which would fit the entire family. It was a loaded FX4 model, which I always liked, but never loved. I really loved my old Toyota and missed it, but it was very tired and road salt had taken its toll on the body. Well after dealing with many, mostly small issues, with the Ford, it's getting traded in for the new Tacoma. I'm very grateful the salesman is a very good friend and the deal could not have been easier. I'm glad I found this forum and look forward to learning from the well versed folks on my new 3rd generation Taco! (I learned all of that this past week, here!) Bill in MA.

Thanks for the welcome. I just picked it up a short time ago and I'm happy to report that I know I made the right choice. First time driving an OR model and I think that it actually rides a bit nicer than the Sport model I test drove originally. I think its a bit under powered on the highway, but I was also driving it easy in the right lane, as it only had 48 miles on it when I picked it up (came in from a dealer swap). I really don't drive too fast and try to avoid the highway when I can, so this is just something I noticed. It will fit my needs perfectly and glad I'm a new owner. Thanks again Bill
