New guy from NC

Currently stationed at Ft Bragg, NC Just picked up a 2002 Tacoma 2.7l 4x4. 170k on the clock and running great. Been creeping around the forum researching for awhile picked up these wheels recently off local Criagslist also been searching what to do suspension wise when I get my new frame from toyota in a month or so hopefully. Been waiting about 2 months for it to come in. Modification plans nothing crazy just going to Yokohama geolander Ats. Tire size depends on what I do for suspension still on the fence about it. Shocks need to be replaced, I know I'm getting leaf springs when toyota does my frame for free. So was leaning towards doing the bilistien 5100s with eibach springs in the front and just billies in the rear, was reading earlier that a lot of guys recommend doing an add a leaf. Anyways after suspension and frame I'm getting rhino lining sprayed in the bed and along side the truck on the rocker panels. And just keeping it practical. Great forum btw a lot of good info out there!

So after researching all morning I think I'm going with the 5100 billies in the front and 5125 in the rear bc I don't plan on lifting. Thoughts?

Work begins.
New parts came in! Budsbuilt 3 piece skids, 5100s front and rear. 881 ome coils, wheelers 1.5 ADL and light racing upper control arms. And of course new bushings for everything.
New frame came in!

Fighting with the dealer on if they will include install since they are pulling most of it with my frame or if I'm going to let them put the old rusted shit back on it and save me 700 dollars and I'll do it myself. We shall see.

 

Dealer decided to work with me alittle more spoke with their lead mechanic. So I'm only be charged 375 for labor on installing everything except the large rear portion of the budsbuilt skid plate and the crossmember piece. So pretty Damn good deal. So total they are installing my light racing upper control arms, ome coils, Bilstien 5100s front and rear and the wheelers 1.5 ADL. And since they are doing the frame anyways they are doing an alignment for free and new font diff fluid.

 

Been awhile since I've posted any updates. Frame Install went lol everything is solid now I installed my Buds built skids. New headlights and tail lights and sanded, prepped and painted all my drive terrain or anything that was rusted under the truck. Also did power stop drilled and slotted rotors and licked up alittle camper shell for 100 bucks. Trucks getting rhino liner on the bed Monday.

Camper is going to get refinished and sprayed with bed liner.
