    Hey there :wave:, I moved here in Jan 2020 from Southern California (OC). Doesn't seem Milton and Tampa are at all that close, but what questions do you have?

    So I ended up doing mine almost right when I got here (job related) though I see a ton of people driving around with plates from all different states. I believe as long as they are still valid/non-expired it should be fine. They allow you to register for 2 years and it is dirt cheap compared to CA.

    DMV=Tax Collector btw

    @lucky13don

    I take this back, according to the Tax Collector website it says:
    upload_2020-12-17_22-7-12.jpg

    I did mine well within this time, but my neighbors don't seem to worry about this too much.

    I'm in Ft. Walton, not sure how much I can answer as far as your questions and he already answered the 30 day thing. I will tell you the tax collector offices as far as Okaloosa goes is requiring an appointment to do all your tag/dl stuff. I assume Santa Rosa is the same since its right next door and we are all in the same Corona boat here in the panhandle. That and most Law Enforcement understands the limitations under Corona right now. Furthermore if you're military you are partially exempt from the DL transition aspect. Not an excuse but know we tend to have some flexibility. Don't drive like a jacka$$ and be respectful if you have any contact and youre probably ok.

    LMK if I can help with anything else...and welcome!

    Dang, sorry to hear that. I couldn't agree more tho - people can not drive here in FL. I tend to drive in the slow lane (right lane) and just assume everyone is out to hit me.

    Man, these people put Cali drivers to shame..and what’s the deal with the dead stop to make a turn? Like the car will flip if you turn with any kind of speed..

    So finally got a appointment at the “tax collector” to switch my license over. So do you guys do meet ups and mod days like we did in California? It would be cool to meet some locals and hang out.

    I can't speak for North Florida, but we do have some Toyota meets every few times a year down here (Tampa area). If you're on Facebook you should follow some of the Florida Tacoma/Toyota groups as they seem to organize things more so than here.

    There is a mod day coming up on 01/30/2021 in GA https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ga-mod-day-jan-30-2021.697276/
