Good day to all Tacoma owners!

Ive been reading this forum for quite sometime but have now just built the courage to join your community.

I dont officially own my Tacoma yet but will within the next 5 months.

Ive been an avid Tacoma fan practically my whole life...ever since I saw that black Toyota pickup in Back To The Future.

Ill be opting for the V6 Prerunner edition.

Ive done alot research on the question im about to ask but id figure id just come out and ask it point blank.

What kind of average gas mileage can I expect? (18 as advertised?)

...and how many miles are you getting per tank in the V6?

This is coming from a current Civic owner who is loving his gas mileage (i know ill be giving up alot once i get the Taco).

Thank you all for everything. Ive read many good suggestions in this forum over time and will always be searching the archives for ideas when I get my Taco!

I have the automatic V6 DC Prerunner. I get around 18-20. Depends on how heavy your foot is. Mine is heavy. I do have a toneau cover, I think that helps with my mileage. I have gotten as good as 22 before on a trip.

    BUILT, not bought...

You might be giving up milage, but you are gaining a KICK A*S RIDE!

I got about 350 from my last tank, and I never ever saw my gas light.

Welcome to your future truck and the TW community. You got a great idea to start planning before the mods begin! Or even if you keep it mainly stock like me & a few other friends here. Either way, toyota trucks by far my favorite too!

Welcome! I have a V6 Double Cab (I have a family so I need the DC) but that truck was the influence behind mine, so I totally agree! (I even found some wheels that were black in the center but had silver rings, LOL)

But mine is not as "blacked out - something I may do in the future....

Welcome to TacomaWorld! Go get that truck!
