    Hey everyone, I just purchased a reg cab 4x4 tacoma last weekend. I used to have a 02 ranger fx4 with manual trans/transfer case, 5" lift, 33s so forth. I loved it, but see as ford put the ranger on the chopping block and finding a reg cab 4x4 was nearly impossible- I decided to get a new tacoma. I think my final decision rested with size of the offroad aftermarket for tacomas. I could not believe the amount of support for it. Rangers have a limited market, unless you play in the dezert. The 2wd market is pretty big.

    So far though, I am really liking this truck. the 4banger isn't that bad and the mileage is nice. Even though its not broken in yet, its still far better than the ranger.

    I have been scanning this site every day learning and figuring out what stuff is good, what isnt and so forth. (keeps me from asking questions that have been beaten to death)

    my plans-
    bilstein 5100s at 2.5 in the front (if I find I need UCAs, I will drop it to 1.75 and then later on get the UCAs and go back to 2.5 ),
    bilstein 5100s or 5125s in the rear with 1" blocks. (might go with the 5125s incase I decide to go with more lift later in the rear)
    265 75 16 goodyear duratracs (they are the lightest and the only "C" rating tire I found with good tread)
    AR mojaves teflons 16x8 4.5 backspace (i read that is a good number)
    bumpers- I will probably build them. I built the ones on my ranger, and the tacoma looks alot simpler to built mounts for.
    The inside- good floor mats. I used to have catch alls in the ranger so I will probably get those again. Everything else inside is fine to me. (as of this moment that is)
