    Hello TW,

I've been a Tacoma enthusiast since the beginning. Which for me was when I got my drivers license in 2000. Since then, I've always had a Tacoma, or other model Toyota (pickup/4runner) . There's just no quit in them! My current Taco is a 98' 3.4L 4x4 5 speed. It's got some modest mods that give it a little more pep and turn some heads:
    -JBA Headers
    -Flowmaster exhaust
    -Marlin Crawler short throw
    -LCE lightweight crank pulley
    -Trailgear bumper (front)
-Rancho Quicklift adjustable lift front and rear (3")
    -BFG KM2 (285/70/16)
-42" light bar across the top/led reverse lights in rear bumper
    -----------probably some others........

    Getting ready to:
-UPOL Raptor line the bed, wheels, bumpers, mirrors, rockers in black. Body in Desert Tan
-Total Chaos Long Travel with Heim uppers/King 2.5 up front/King 2.0 smoothies in rear
-Possibly do Fiberworx flared front fenders (if I can't do a super nice trim job first)
    -Install 01-04 center console
    -ARB rear...and front lockers
    ------------probably some others..........always

Quick lil' story about my truck...I was out in the river bed at Lake Pillsbury CA (as per always), as I live in the North Bay. I had my buddy riding shotgun and we were trolling through the shallows about 2-3' deep in the river. We were BS'n about something not paying attention when all a sudden it felt like we were floating. Well actually we were sinking... I threw it in reverse and had no traction. Threw it in gear, nothin... We came to a pool that was about 6-8' deep and sank it. When it was too late, I killed the engine. We were up to the roof in water and ended up rolling down the windows and swimming out. Only the tailgate was sticking out of the river. We hiked for about two hours to find someone to pull it out and eventually found a older Cummins diesel. When we got back to my truck (3 hour later) we put a tow strap on the rear bumper and yanked it out. We pushed it to a nearby hillside, pulled the air filter, drained the exhaust, and dried the computer. THE DAMN THING STARTED FIRST KICK!!!!!NO BS!!!

Long story short I gotter home, and aside from all the obvious maintenance, I replaced the starter... The moral of the story is, if you treat these rigs like family and give them the TLC they deserve they will never do you wrong... But you all know that, and thats why you're on this site. Needless to say, this truck has sentimental value. Unless I roll it down Hell's Gate at MOAB and destroy it, I'll never get rid of it...

Sorry for the long winded intro... Good to meet you all!!

Sounds like you got a lot of cool plans! Welcome to the forum, when you're ready check out the build section and make a thread for your truck! Also a great place to get ideas for your own ride
