    whats up. my name is Lucas, i have a 98 tacoma, 2r5 with over 250,000 miles on it. its very beat and ugly, i bought it for 500 cash. it runs great, never been rebuilt, one owner before me. i looking to start to replace a few things, i have a dream of dropping a v8 into it, or turbo chargering the motor in it after a rebuild.

    what im really looking for it a way to get rid of this auto tranny, can anyone help?

    heres are some pics of it, if you have anything that i might need body part wise, please let me know.

    Why would you wanna get rid of the tranny if its lasted that long?

    But - if you have a dream of getting rid of the Auto, you might as well wait until you're ready and change out the engine all at the same time. :D

    im not a big fan of an auto. i found a place online that makes a bell house, that i can but any r-series manual on it, even an older supra manual. i guess i need to find which would be tranny would be better for a street sleeper.

    i have some time, i hope, for the tranny. it really comes down to money, diffcultly of swap. i was looking at doing the a full supra swap, but then i saw a supra with a 4.7 twin turbo drop in it, that really go me thinking. i dont really know, i just want a fast street sleeper DD. i just dont want to spend the money of a motor for LCE, 7 grand for a just the motor seems way to much money.
