    Hi,
Someone recently crashed into my truck, now it is salvage. So I need to get my brakes inspected. Does anyone know a place that is certified by the state of California in the San Fernando Valley that can check my brakes.

Sorry im a little farther south then you, I would just try looking up American Tires. My experiences with them have been very good in different stores.
    Good luck

So I can go to a tire place like American Tires and their inspection is valid to the DMV?

Should be, Might be a good idea to call and ask but I dont see why they wouldnt as long as its not a little local shop they should be certified.

    Thanks for your help.
I called pep boys to check, the guy said that pep boys isn't registered to do the brake and light inspection and that I have to go to a Brake and Light Inspection station. I found one in Sylmar and I already have that done.
