Bumper sticker!! Oh, and my first scratch, at Toyota Takeover.
Hi, my name is Eb. I recently bought a new 2016 Red Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off-road (Access Cab, Long Bed). I've had it for just 7 weeks, and I've already been to the mountains of North Carolina. I'm getting ready to take it to the Toyota Takeover at Rausch Creek, next weekend! I used to go Off-Roading when I was a kid, in another non-toyo 4x4, and have since been relegated to snow, and sand beaches due to lack of anywhere else to go. I accidentally discovered Rausch Creek a few weeks ago, and just discovered the Toyota Takeover event, last week. Is anyone else going up??

I'm looking to do mainly BLUE trails. I love mud and hills, and I'm looking forward to seeing what all of these TRD Off-road goodies are capable of. I'm not worried about the new paint, but I'm not looking to test the integrity of the body panels, with a roll, tip or flip!

I've got most of the emergency equipment needed for a recovery on the trail (no winch, just a snatch strap with F/R tow points), plugging tires & R/R spare, fire extinguisher and hydraulic jack.

For those going to Rausch Creek next week, what do you use to communicate with each other, while on the trail? I've seen people reference CB radios, and other who say that very few people use CB's anymore. Is there good cell phone coverage at the park? I've got to think that texting isn't the best option, when it starts getting busy behind the wheel, in a challenging part of the trail!! So, again , any recommendations will be appreciated!
