I'm a new guy to the forum. Have owned a Toyota truck since 1990. First one served me well while in the Air Force. Sold it in 2005 when our daughter came along. Bought a used Land Cruiser (saved my life in an accident.) Then, bought a Tundra and kept it for a year and half. Too big. So, today I traded it in on a 2011 Tacoma access cab. Parking near the door again. Just ordered a skid plate ($118 on Ebay) and 2 D-rings for the 2 holes in the bed (thanks to posts.) Waxed it with 10 miles on it. Not sure that was smart, but it was clean, so I said "might as well." Hope to learn much and contribute some. POST PICTURE TOMORROW.

    Welcome from Ohio. Nice rig.

I went through that "my truck is too big" thing, too. Bought a car (overreaction) and then realized I need a truck again.

You'll be happy with your decision ;)

Love it already. Go into parking spots like a car. First time in the garage in a long time. That is the key to long term car care, I am convinced. The 1990 truck was garage kept for the most part (MT, CA, MS) and it was nice until I moved to VA and experienced 1 winter. Rust started creeping in. And that backup camera- love it. backed up to about 1 ft of the back of the garage no problem. Takes the place of the rear view mirror in the crosscheck.

Don't mean to ramble (too late), but it seems Toyota listens to the customer when it comes to this truck. Went back in the archives and it seemed like many complaints going back to 2008 were changed or fixed by this year. From what I can tell, the backup camera is standard.
