    Hello Tacoma People,

I bought my first Tacoma, a 2020 Silver Tacoma SR5, in November, 2019 in Cedar Park. It is great, I have had a few Rangers and a Nissan Pathfinder. I should have gotten a Tacoma 20 years ago. Anyway, I live in Leander and drive into Austin 4 days a week for work. Trying to keep the fuel economy stable.

My one and only regret, I should have gotten a long bed. Otherwise the truck is good. It could be great except for one issue. When going up a mild grade and under normal acceleration from about 40 up to about 55 I can feel it chugging. I can remedy the situation if I give it some more gas. I don't know if that is the trans or the programming.

I don't plan on any crazy upgrades for a 2 wheel drive, family, Lowes project hauler.

Done: K&N Cold Air Intake Kit, a little on loud side when under full acceleration.

Next: Cat back exhaust (just because)
    remote start
    remote window drop
upgrade the stock tail, brake and reverse light bulbs with LED's
    front light bar
maybe a few other things, a gradual progression

If anyone has installed any of the above upgrades I would be glad for any input about the install.

Also, I am looking for a hitch mounted bike rack for 4. Anyone with any input?

About me: Retired Army MP, I now work for the state (next to Top Golf at Burnet and MOPAC), I like landscaping and home upgrades, going to the range is always a good time, and I really enjoy running my smoker. I enjoy taking a drive with my family for a combined trip of sight seeing and trying new BBQ places.

    God Bless America!
    Thanks, Damon
