Hey guys, another new guy here! I can't tell everyone about my tacoma yet, as I do not own one at the moment. This is a HUGE step for me, as I've NEVER owned a truck before. I've always been into the sportscar scenes. I've previously owned two different BMW M3's, and at the moment a Corvette Z06(more on her later ;))
Anyways, i picked up the vette when i was in florida going to shool to become an EOD tech. Well the flat roads, and cheap premium gas made the vette somewhat reasonable to drive, but still quite impractical. Now that i'm back here in SoCal (2nd tour at Pendleton) the hills, and ridiculous prices for crappy 91 octane is really killin my wallet. On a 18.5 gal tank, i usually get right at 200 miles for the whole tank! Around 14 mpg for a tank or so. Couple that with, not enough storage space for all my EOD gear, makes it hard to live with. So i've decided that it's time to grow up a bit, and purchase a truck that can be reliable, low maint. better on gas, and still fun to modify and enjoy (trails/offroad/exploring etc.) So the search is on, for a 2010 double cab, short bed, v6 4x4 trd offroad w/jbl audio!
And i still have my sportbike to feed my speed cravings! :D

Anyways, heres some info on my current money pit!

Heres a couple pics of the vette, I was informed that "certain" activities are frowned upon that my vette was involved with :) So the video has been taken down, but if anyone would like to see (and more importantly HEAR her, PM me, and i'll send you the vid!) Heres some pics of her....

Thanks man! She gets plenty of looks (from people and police!!) and compliments! Unfortunately she's just not in the cards at the moment, and must go to a better home. She's been plenty of fun, but i'm sure i'll have just as much in my Taco when i get her!

She is nice. Welcome to TW. BTW, you're bound to replace the JBL audio system. So save the extra money and get whatever the truck comes with. Send me that video! :D What are you looking to do with the Tacoma when you get one? Serious off-road, rock crawling, mud splashing (me) or dirt trail riding? Just curious.

    PM sent
Ill have to keep that in mind, thanks for the info bro.
For the moment, I plan on usin her to get my gear to and from work, and to haul my sportbike around. In terms of what new hobbies i'll get into with the taco, I plan on getting into camping and whatnot, so i have no real intentions of turning her into a hardcore rock crawler. But probably used for dirt trail runnin, some off-roading, and mudding :)
