    Just wanted to say hello.

I am currently in search of a new 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road/Sport 4x4 and I would like to get member's opinions about the pro/cons of both models.

My first Toyota 4x4 was a white 1988 Xtra Cab. Since 1999 I have owned 3 different 4Runners and my last one just was handed down to my daughter. So it's time for me to get a new ride.

Welcome to the TacomaWorld forum, from SoCal. Great to have you here!

If you plan to use the off road features, get the TRD Off Road. If it's solely for the street, get the TRD Sport.

    Welcome to TW!

TRD OR has locking rear diff, multi terrain select, and crawl control.
TRD Sport hood scoop, color matched body trim, and street tuned suspension.

To my friends I usually recommend TRD OR solely due to locker in rear and they're basically the same price and sport is basically just an appearance package to me. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it IMHO.

I couldn't agree more. The TRD Sport is essentially just an appearance package
