I've been driving small trucks for 20 years (all Rangers). Well, it was time to get a new one, but all the trucks are too big for my space. Local Toyota dealer said they had one coming in...a 14 with less than 7000 miles, that they had sold new. Made the deal and left with it on May 1st. It's Pyrite Mica, V6, auto, with bed cover, bed rug and running boards. We ordered an ARE CX cap the same day. I've already installed the inside rearview mirror that I had put in the Ranger; self dimming, compass and outside temp.

I can't remember who had posted about where to find the wires in the overhead console for the mirror, but thanks for the tips. I've always liked my Rangers, but this is a real step up. Wish I'd gone this way years ago. I'll post some pix. I'm from the Lacon area, about 30 miles NE of Peoria, IL.

    Thanks.
I looked online and saw that the dealer had 2 used Taco's; an 11 and a 14. We drove there and talked to a salesman, and said that we wanted to see the '11. He said that it had just been sold. The '14 wasn't in yet, but would be on Saturday (the next day). They had sold it new to an older couple who didn't want to haul 'stuff' in their Lexus or Mercedes, so they bought the Taco, but apparently didn't use it much. Sounds like they just sold it back to the dealer. We test drove it and made the deal. We picked it up on Monday and went right to the topper dealer to have him measure us for a new ARE CX. That will be in sometime in the middle of May.

We do a lot of garage sales and estate sales, and the topper really comes in handy, moreso than the Undercover lid that is on it now. I had a lid on my Rangers, but went to the topper on the last one, because it worked so much better for us. The Taco is a little larger than the Ranger, but still fits in the garage with room to spare, and it lets me get into tight spaces. We like it.

Not trying to jack your thread, I just bought this on Fri / this is a 2015 with 12K miles.
Yours is like a barn find (practically brand new), probably still has that new car smell.
