Hey! Im in yucca valley (so cal) i just got rid of my 11mpg f150 and now i have a whopping 4k bucks to buy myself a tacoma! just trying to figure out if i want a six or a four cuz mpg's are kinda important.. but so is power lol..

 

Nice to have ya man. The 3.4 V6 is good on gas and it has good power too.

Its when you add a lift and bigger tires that the mpgs will drastically go down

4k? .... best of luck ..... you may be able to find a higher mile single cab for that but they are seriously up there in the used category

in 08 i was looking for trucks i ended up with a 99 mazda with 90k for 4500 cause i couldnt find a taco with under 200k for that .... this time around i looked for yotas again ended up with a 97 t100 ..... which are another sweet rig to consider if you only got 4k ... i found 3 nice ones down there in so cal that my panzy ass friends wouldnt road trip with me to go get

Actually i have found quite a few single cabs and extra cabs in my price range and much much lower really, theres a decent 98 with 140k for like 1900 right now. But im being very specific as to what i want right now. Extra cab is a must cuz im a plus sized boy, and im still torn between 3.4 or 2.4 and 2 wheel drive or 4 really.. Just waiting patiently and seeing what pops up. Personally i think the t-100 is the ugliest thing toyota has made but i have seen one or two that id rock.
