Just joined recently after having been a lurker for awhile. I'm the proud owner of a 2011 TRD Sport short bed. I just turned back to VW a Golf TDI diesel so I'm contemplating trading in my 2011 for a 2017 TRD off-road. Any thoughts?

contemplating is always good, especially if you have time. Your 2011 probably has lots of life left in it, and by the time you need a new truck, you might have many great options.
Also, if you have time, probably lurk around the forums and get a sense of what other members are saying. You can go kick tires at the dealerships and see what kinds of good deals are being offered - also known as "sitting in the catbird seat".

    Good luck and welcome.

You knew the answer before you asked.
“Good morning. In less than an hour, tacomas from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest midsize truck battle in the history of mankind. “Mankind.” That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it’s fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our mpgs and off road capability… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from domestic bullshit thrown at us. We are fighting for our right to rock hard. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!”

So is your morning drinking a routine, or just a Saturday special?

For some reason I picture a drunk guy, barely able to stand, holding up one hand while saying this.

Maybe that explains my haggard attitude around here
