Hey folks, name is John and I own a 2016 Quick sand Taco. It’s a TRD Off-road but only a 4x2 . I will lift it at some point but for now I really love it. First newb question, will I be able to do some mild trail runs with it? Example, can I do the broken arrow trail in Sedona?
Here’s a pic, also had the roof and hood wrapped by a buddy of mine, don’t mind him, he wanted to pose next to my truck lol

Welcome to TW. There are quit a few trails around that you could do with it. I've gone out in mine where a week before riding with a buddy, he had to put his Tundra in 4 hi. Just watch your lines and don't be afraid to use the skinny pedal. Good tires do make a big difference.

You could do all of broken arrow I bet. The most challenging thing is mostl often completed downhill, so 4 x 2 isnt as big of a deal. The pink jeeps do the normal route and take I believe devils staircase downhill. Just follow them

Welcome! Came here to leave advice but it’s already covered. 4x2 is doable for a lot of trails. Things that will help include good tires, picking your lines, and being prepared for getting stuck. Shovel, Maxxtracs, and a Hilift jack can all be your friends and get you out of most stuck situations. Hell, just the shovel will be a nice addition.

Welcome, as far as broken arrow goes there are maybe 1-2 spots where 2wd may get tricky and you may need to may use more skinny pedal up a step than ideally required. Most notably this step. Coot did it in 3wd and locked rear fairly easy once he locked the rear. Only thing that would worry me in a stock rig would be bashing the skid or underbody harder cause you have to gas it more than ideal. You can hit up @devidstaco and you guys can twinzys some 2wd fun stuff. I've spent quite a bit of time in the dirt on easy to moderate stuff and the only times I have used 4wd is broken arrow and a couple moderately steep bumpy climbs on loose desert dirt. That is also with Toyo Open Country AT's vs the stock goodyears.

We can all hang & see how much skinny pedal it’ll take for our 2wd asses to get up lol

Side note: because we’re 2wd I believe tires are our best friend. Then protection underneath since we’re more likely to bash shit since we take obstacles with more momentum.. lol
