2021 Tacoma Access Cab 6' bed 6sp manual with additional electronic crap I really didn't want..
    none
    Greetings All,

I'm heading to Orem UT this Friday to pick up my 2021 TRD Sport Access cab 6sp manual in Cement.
I live in Henderson, NV, which is my problem, but here, they don't seem to have squat for vehicles and they want $1500 - 2k above the sticker if they have one. I have some property in UT so I thought I'd give them a try. Seemed like nicer people over the phone, but experienced the same BS when it came to dealing with the finance guy. Anyway, supposedly, my truck is being trucked from a dealer somewhere in Montana to the dealership in Orem UT this week, before Friday as I'm flying into Salt Lake to drive it home.

I've purchased a few small accessories so far, but I am interested in a bed cover. Do any of you have a favorite? I am leaning towards the Diamondback brand aluminum cover that has two doors, one in front and one near the tailgate.

One of the other items I'll get pretty quickly after I get it home is a console vault. I have one on my 03 Ram 3500 and had one on my 11 Ram 3500. They are a great way to tote around your favorite personal protection item without worrying about it being stolen.

Do you folks have any other items that are routinely purchased for the newer Tacoma's?

I also have wind deflectors on the way and was thinking about looking into a hood bug deflector. Suggestions are much appreciated.

Welcome to the TW forum ultrasoundguy

I'm keeping more of a stock vibe, Bug Shield, a good part of the grill is not covered but I do
like the fact that the center part rides a tad higher giving me an idea where the front end is
when parking regardless of the warning deal going off.
Console and Glove Box organizers, inexpensive way to make better use of the space ( found them on E-Bay )
Upgraded the OEM tires to BFG KO2's LT265 /75 R16 123R E1 RWL 2nd best mod so far and
the Best mod for me, A Platz-Form ( https://www.platz-form.com/ ) and of course being in the desert,
Windshield Shade and Dash Cover from Covercraft ( https://www.covercraft.com/us/en )
    I'm also waiting on a Cab High Snug Top ( https://www.snugtop.com/make/toyota )

Again, Welcome and post up some pictures ;)

Thank you for replying. I'm of the same mentality and my truck will remain mostly stock. I'll probably get another set of wheels and tires so I can switch them out in winter. Based on the links you provided, I just went to covercraft and dropped about $600.00 in a dash cover, seat covers, and, don't laugh, a bra. I know, these are usually reserved for sporty cars, but since I have color keyed bumpers, and I'll be driving this truck back and forth from my farmland in Utah to Henderson NV almost weekly, I thought it best to protect the front end from rock dings. Heck, at 85 mph, even the smallest pebble can take leave a ding. I wouldn't mind having that clear plastic like film applied to the whole front end and mirrors, but it's a real pain to apply and I've got two vehicles worth of applications to drawn on. Maybe I'll search out a company here that puts it on. Speaking of that sort of thing, I will also get the side and rear window tinted to the legal level. The sun is brutal out in my neck of the woods.
I followed the link to the Platz-Form, but it's only for those with a quad-cab so I can't use it. I forgot to mention that I already purchased a box organizer so that's done. I'll probably go onto the console vault website and order one after I post this. The other items I was interested in are front and rear anti-sway bars, possibly a rear assist of some kind for the suspension, and a better exhaust. Lastly, but later, I'll be looking into getting rear disc brakes as it seems quite antiquated to see drum brakes on any modern vehicle, hell, you can even get trailers with disc brakes if you want. Again, thanks for your reply and I'll post some pic's of it when I get some of the accessories installed so you all can have a laugh at a Tacoma with a bra...lol
