Anybody got any suggestions on putting weight in back of bed for snow storms?
I usually put a four or five 20” or so heavy ,not seasoned logs. That’s about 3-4 hundred pounds.
    Is that even necessary?
    Thanks

I like tube sand. It adds weight, and if need be you can cut open a bag for traction.

Thanks Ryan. How many tubes would you recommend ?
Also I see you have a DCSB . How is the leg room in the back?
    Considering one

I usually put 2 tubes on each wheel well, that's always worked for me. As far as leg room, it's not bad. I went to a Tacoma from a crew cab GMC, so it's obviously less than that lol. We put 2 fairly large people in the back of my buddy's DCSB and took an hour and a half trip to the airport. I rode in the back and don't remember any discomfort.

I put a couple of tubes of sand in the front of the bed but you can also put them along the wheel wells. After a few snow storms and freeze/thaw cycles they mold to fit the ridges in the bed so they don't slide around much.

so i learned the hard way ($4500) that my taco isn't an ice breaker
drove her over a the huge puddle 3'x60'x10' where 6th range road begins, it starts cracking 2-3" thick ice, and then my grill is at ice level and it's either keep going or get stuck. pics coming

Pembroke? Apparently people that live in that area were throwing nails and shit on the roads/trails to keep people off of it, be careful!
