    I finally pulled the trigger on my new hand gun...

    and the winner...

    There was a local gun show, and they had this for a great price slightly used and since it didn't have a case or anything extra mags with it Got him to knock $100 off...to $650, No signs of holster wear and things like slide release and decocking lever still had original finish...most of the times these are 1st places to show wear from use.

    Congrats! Btw what is the difference in the 226 and 229 and everything in between? Im not a sig guy buy im starting to like them more and more.

    Sigs kick ass. A 229 is a short barreled 226. The 239 is also similar but the whole gun is a little more compact.

    Congrats on your purchase!! I own a 229 and a 239 sas. Sigs are excellent weapons and very reliable.

    P229 is 3.89" barrel "compact"
    P226 is 4.4" barrel "standard"
