I've installed an Atoto A6 in my 2015 SR5, non-JBL truck. I used the Crux SWRTY-61N Wiring Interface for all the connections.
But as the title line states, the unit only works with the key in acc. position. All the Stearing wheel controls, the GPS, the bluetooth, back up camera, etc., all seem to work as they should. When I actually start the truck, the screen reboots, blinks on once, and then gives me a message of "no signal". Oddly the back up camera still shows up, but nothin' else.
I bought the wiring interface from Crutchfield and I've called them 2x's but they can't come up with anything. "That's weird". I'll call Crux Monday.

Had a quick look at the diagram. Double check your DIP switch settings and make sure the Yellow wire is hooked to +12V constant (power all the time).

+12V ACC (red wire) actually goes to ignition, not accessory.

    Ok, I'll check that, thanks!

Ok, DIP switches are where the Crux instructions told me to set them, the yellow wire is hooked to 12v constant. Where, specifically, does the red wire go? "Goes to ignition" don't tell an ignorant guy enough.
    And thanks for the help!

You can use a fuse tap like this to grab ignition at the fuse box. https://www.autozone.com/electrical...accessories/p/bussmann-atm-fuse-tap/32416_0_0

You should have ignition in the OEM harness at the radio. Would be easier than using the fuse box. Where do you have the Crux wiring interface mounted?

Ha ha, mounted? It's in a wad of wiring stuffed behind the head unit. Is that significant? I've been trying to locate a drawing for the OEM harness but haven't come up with one yet. Seems like that would be a large help for trouble shooting.

I may be on to something. I believe the reverse trigger signal may be the issue. That pin has no power in acc, but power with ON and Ignition/Running. So I think it's blocking the screen thinking the b/u camera is about to come on. Now I don't know where to get the reverse trigger signal so the screen works. Or maybe there is an underlying issue causing this pin to power on all the time?

Here's the wiring diagram for a 2015, non-JBL, no navigation.

The reverse trigger is a RED wire, ignition is a PINK wire and constant 12V (battery) is WHITE with a BLUE stripe wire.

Success, finally. I don't quite understand what all the issues were but the reverse trigger signal was definitely the problem. Everywhere I was told (by Crux, Crutchfield, forums) to get the signal was energized as soon as I started the truck, causing the screen blocking out I originally described. I finally just took a meter to the oem harness and looked for any pin that was ONLY hot when in reverse. On my truck I'm using pin 2 or 3 (can't remember) on the 28 pin connector, a purple wire, for the trigger signal and everything is working fine now.
