Alright, so what started out as a day-long project of installing my new LCE headers after finding out my exhaust manifold was cracked, has turned into a nightmare.

I got the headers installed last night, and when it came time to fire up my Taco; much disappointment ensued. It won't start. It cranks, but will not start. I pulled out my #1 spark plug and there's gas on it, so I know it's getting fuel, but when I tested the ignition, I'm not getting spark in any cylinder. I've checked all the grounds that I can see, thinking I may have bumped one when installing the new headers, but everything looks fine.

I'm really hoping that it's just user error and I just missed something. But any help would be appreciated to get this thing back on the road.

    (EDIT) Sorry, it's a 96, not a 97.

    Other things I've checked:

Rotor still spins, contacts are not burned (Cap and rotor were replaced less than 20k miles ago).
Plugs look fine and have less than 5k miles on them.
    Cleaned MAF sensor

Every 5th/6th time I try to crank the motor over, it sounds like one MAYBE two cylinders fire, but still will not start.

Unplug everything you touched and messed around with, then redo it. Which shouldn't really be anything but your MAF senor and couple senors for the airbox.

Alright, so I've tried unplugging and reinstalling those cables and resetting the ECU. Nothing seems to be working. Getting it towed. I'll update when I find out what the problem is.

Did you ever find out what the problem was?

UPDATE! Sorry to anyone who was waiting to find out what the cause of my problem came from. The mechanic that fixed my truck told me it was my ECT sensor. That was replaced and it didn't cost me nearly as much as I thought it would've been. Gas mileage seems to have improved and the throttle seems to be slightly more responsive (though I'm not sure whether to attribute that to my headers or the sensor).

I have my truck back and it's running like the champ I know she is! Next up is wheels, wheel studs, lower ball-joints, hubs and tires! I may also do my drums too while I'm down there.
