    I have these on mine with the black backing instead of chrome. The halogens in them were pretty poor visibility. I went with some morimoto HID lights thinking this would make the lights better. Turns out the projector lens in the light assembly itself is pretty crap. After breaking them apart I installed some new projectors and now Im the light on the road! If you are up for modding them, then I say go for it! BTW, I even made a mod thread of these headlights about a month ago in case you want to see what is involved.

    Did you find the projection portion of the light not adaquete and the reason for the retrofit? How bright is the DLR strips (adaquete for day use as DLR)? I won't have thought $300 was cheap.
