I understand the desire for coating the skid plate, flat black rattlecan might be best for that for ease of touchup later.

But why the back bumper?

I think i'm gonna do bedliner on the skid and get a white color keyed bumper...rear bumper is chrome n i hate it!

+1 on the colormatched rear bumper, while you are at it I think the grill surround would look good white also.

I'd be concerned with the skidplate's lining getting gashed up if you ever dragged it across a rock. But if it's just for looks I'd say go for it.

I got rid of all the chrome on my truck. Had the rear bumper color matched to the truck. Swapped out my chrome grill for a standard grill and then had that color matched at Riverview Toyota.

 

What did your bumper cost you

 

$50 at Arizona Powder Coating.

It's a got a gloss to it. I was originally going to go flat black but changed my mind after I dropped it off. It's called Blood Red.
