Just enough to look kinda cool.
So I installed some Morimoto headlights last night and went to run into town and my truck won’t start. It will crank and crank but not fire.

Yes I checked all the fuses
No I don’t have any CEL
    Yes I fallowed the instructions
Yes I’m just as dumbfounded as the title sounds
Yes lights lit up as they should have

I unplugged the lights and plugged my OE lights back in and still no luck. I tested a led turn signal light but didn’t like how it looked so swapped back to the OE turn bulbs.

The turn signals on the Morimoto are stock. They have nothing to do with the headlights. Sounds like something is going on with your actual truck. Did you check the ground and Power cables to make sure they were tight? How is your battery? How is your alternator?

    if you followed the instructions
if the factory lights are back in

it could just be a coincidence this happened at the same time and unrelated
    the truck is old

it will require diagnosis which entails testing
I'd probably look at the fuel system among other things
because air and spark is easier to get and tends to malfunction less especially on these trucks.

This right here @Jensonbt. If nothing else went wrong, my money would be on battery connection issue where it's not getting enough to crank. Either the ground not making proper connection (Negative battery terminal to chassis, usually aftermarkets have you stack another ground lead on your fender area), or an actual battery terminal/connection issue. Hell I'd rule out drained battery at this point too.

@EveryDayIsTacoTues @2013XSPX I did rule out battery I’ve disconnected it and reconnected it a few times in hopes to reset a module or computer and have put a jump pack on twice to see if battery might be problem but no dice. I might go through and check battery grounds. But the truck does turn over it just won’t start. Sounds almost fuel related.

Friend with a proper code reader pulled p0230 (fuel pump primary circuit) and a p1604 (start ability function)

Did an oil change on a car with an oil idiot light. Light stayed on after the change. No puddle of oil under the car. Oil light sending unit failed and gave a false reading on the one start after the oil change after hundreds of other starts.

Crazy assed coincidents do happen so "other things" just may be your problem.

Try a spray of starter fluid into the intake and try and start it. If it starts then you have a fuel issue as in it isn't getting any. Bypass the fuel pump relay in front of the battery. Unplug the connector and install a jumper. Then attempt to start the truck, if it starts and runs you have a defective fuel pump resistor. You can run it with a jumper ( the 4 cylinder doesn't have this resistor) but it will cause more wear on the pump as it is used to slow the pump when idling etc...

    Solution: fuel pump relay

so i got some starter fluid and could get the truck to start and run on the either but it would die after a few seconds and i had already checked fuses and swapped relays around no dice. So figured most likely is fuel pump so in goes the new fuel pump and still not starting. I figure it’s not priming and just needs to run a little so I hit it with some either and crank for like 30 seconds and it fires up and runs. Great turn it off and go to restart it doesn’t start so after scratching my head more and talking with a buddy who’s a master mechanic he says it’s probably got a starting fiel pump relay so back I go looking for a second fuel pump relay and no shit right next to the fuel pump relay is a starting relay. Big thanks to this video I swapped relays around again and now it starts fine. I’m leaving the new fuel pump in I’m not dropping the tank again to return it.

The fuel pump relay is what shifts it from high speed to low speed in the fuel pump resistor as I described above.
