I just purchased a 13 Double Cab Prerunner 2.7l. I would really like to do a lift and larger tires on stock 16s. Any suggestions that won't rob too much power?

I was looking at a Rough Country 3" spacer/block kit. And a set of 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Authorities. But not sure how much it will wear down the 2.7 also I am 2wd.

My suggestion would be to dig around in the suspension forum, doing a couple days of reading. But ask yourself some questions along the way.

Why do I want a lift? To be pretty, or serve some useful function? (it matters on component choice)

What size tires do you have in mind? Again, why? To look cool, or actually have a purpose? Most 2wd units don't really 'need' bigger tires for off roading, but maybe you do. Tire size may determine lift amount, thus type.

What is your budget? IE are you Walmart grade just looking to pose, and trying to run on the cheap? Or are you wanting to retain the functionality of the ride, cargo capacity, handling, etc. Big difference in budgets.

And, the larger the lift the more 'other' items are affected, like brake lines, control arms, etc etc. The reading will help you understand those thresholds.

Sure, folks can pile in here and tell you what to do, based on 'their' experience. But you need to make good choices based on your (unstated) goals.

Good luck, and enjoy the process!

Don't get spacers, do it right the first time so you don't have to redo your lift later.

Stock size is 245/75/16. And I am doing it for the look. I don't do any towing mostly highway driving with only 1 or 2 bridges.

Bilstein 5100's w/ Eibach coil overs in front (set at 3" of lift). Front diff drop kit. Extended Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Deaver 2" AAL in rear w/ axle shims. 285 x 75 r 16 Goodyear Duratracks. Wheelers steelies type B, AFE cold air intake. Sway bar delete. All Pro Apex front bumper (rattle canned Rustoleum primer + flat black). Plasti-dipped emblems. Mud flaps removed.
You are one of very few with that model. You might be able to get away with 265/75/16 if they are a lighter all terrain. I would go for a low load rating. Worst case you will have to regear which will turn it in to a tank =)
