After ten years of driving a 2014 Ford Focus 5MT, I upgraded to a truck. I thought I was going to get an automatic but after test driving all the other mid-size trucks in autos I just wasn't blown away. Then I drove this 2024 Tacoma SR MT and it was so fun. Reminded me of when I was a youth driving my friend's 1993 Jeep with a 4 cylinder and manual trans.

I have also been admiring the 1g and 2g "stock" or near stock Tacoma's that look like they have 100,000s of miles on them still cruising down the road. I want to get this Tacoma to be one of those. Just adding a few mods like a bed cover and some bed storage compartments.

One question I have for anyone familiar with the 2.4L turbo, what is that buzzing sound I can hear when driving about 30mph and giving a little gas? It's not the turbo spooling up and whistling. It's like a cicada buzzing on very light touches of the accelerator. I can only hear it when cruising with the windows down and the radio off. I don't think it's the air intake, and I never heard fuel injectors sound like that, but I could be wrong.

anyways, pic of my truck. IMG_3680.jpg

Welcome to TW! I can't offer much info on your question since I have never driven a '24 but I am willing to guarantee someone on here can answer your question! Good luck with it!
