So I have an 2007 xrunner and hiking I ate through my left cat. I live in california and can't find a reasonably priced replacement for it. I saw on another thread and seems like others all suggest a muffler shop instead of a dealer.
Well I was wondering if there was a place I could order from online that would ship to California. I have found earlier engine options but again I have a 4.0 liter.
    Thanks.

I don't hike or eat cats but if I were to provide any help and you're talking about catalytic converters, I know by law they're good for 8 years, 80,000 miles. Scratch that, you're over 8 years. Cali sucks with emissions though and you'll definitely need them

Bwahahaha yeah auto correct is awesome. Smh. So yes left catalytic converter is out and got a 1500 estimate. The guy telling me the cat was the larger portion of the costs. Just seems very overpriced and wondering what are options that ship to California.
    Thanks again.

Welcome to TW. An exhaust shop should be able to cut out your old cat and install a new 50 state cat, of whichever brand they carry. Also, Magnaflow makes 50 state cats.

Yeah I was curious about the MagnaFlow. Heard good things. But never heard about anyone putting one on a taco.

OK so spoke with muffler shop and they said the 4.0 needs to be OEM or from dealer. Anyone have any other suggestions? California has its rules and those rules are now costing me a bunch of money smh
