    Hey everyone!
Total noob here. Happy to be here though!
I have a 99 manual that has seen better days. Purchased years ago from a friend who had lived in CO for years. ... It has 215,000ish miles on it. Rebuilt transmission.

Here's the deal. It's totally falling apart. I mean, the rack and pinion is shot, the struts and the shocks are shot and the truck leans to one side because the frame is broken. ... The entire exhaust system needs to be replaced and the frame is coming apart from the chassis.

So I took it in and I got a quote for all of that around 5-7K.

Trying to weigh the pros and the cons about whether to rebuild it or not. Is the investment worth it? The engine is great! Runs like a charm. Like in this climate would I even be able to buy something reliable for $7K???

My thinking is this: spend the money get it totally rebuilt and it should then last (hopefully) for another 100K.

    Thoughts?

Thank you all for your time. I live in VA in the mountains. And I own a brewery so I need a truck.

Welcome to TW! Those are the issues that you know about, I guarantee you’ll find more problems along the way. I wouldn’t rebuild it but that’s just my opinion.
