New to the forums, Just picked up a 2013 Tacoma off the dealership lot. Excited to jump into the world of 4wheelin!
TRD upgraded package, 4X4 w/ rear locker

    Edit:
Put on the buillies 5100's 1.75" front with 1/4" plates, 2" lift rear.
I want to bring the front up more to level out the truck, but I love the 5100's way better than stock.

Thinking of getting the coilovers kit for the 5100s toytec has to take front up to 3".

    Welcome,

Suggestion, go with a 1 or 1.5" BL if you must, avoid it if you can. A good OME setup will yield close to 3", won't cost a fortune, and it is bullet proof. Good luck

    Welcome!

Body lifts are honestly a joke on a 4x4 imho.. raises center of gravity with no benefit except appearance. Clearance isn't better etc.. while you can get some bilstein 5100s and an AAL to give yourself a lift and improve the vehicle.

Most here are against body lifts in general. As with anything, some people will love them and have no problems. Then there's the situations (generally with larger BL's I'd imagine) where in serious accidents the body actually seperates from the frame and becomes a giant projectile with you inside.

Personally I don't like the idea of having something being in between where my cab is supposed to be attached to the frame. Also I see so many BL's that look like asshole with hitches and frames blatantly visible being below the body.

And any good lift will involve replacing your current suspension components.

    Oh, and welcome.

Welcome to tw from az aswell. Look forward to meeting you and wheeling too. Good choice with the billies. They will work allot better if you plan on wheeling. Are you trying to make your own grill?

I'm excited to get this thing off road, every year I hit colorado, san juans, for 4th of July, week long 4wheelin camping trip! This year I finally have this beast to take! Planning to have the billies on by then.

No I can do pretty much anything but body work stuff. Was hoping to pick one up, still sourcing the forums for something, but noticed most of that stuff is for the pre 2012 tacos

I love it, I rarely drive my car now. I got the offroad package, non sport. unfortunately they had no offroad sports on the lot, or i would have taken it. This was the only one on the lot that had the rear locker and everything i wanted. its a lot of fun to wheel in too
