Hey whatsup everyone! Pretty much I made an account on Tacoma World for the benefit of the info given on this forum and the classifieds. I'm new to the truck community, not so much the car community though. I used to work on cars all the time as a hobby but, more so on my personal vehicle that I do still have which is in stand by... Well that's going to be my 1985 Toyota Cressida which right now has a motor swap on the way. 3rd motor swap to be exact. Previous motors just didn't fit my needs and weren't making me happy so I fixed them up and flipped the motorsets. As far as right now it's undergoing a 1JZ-GTE VVT-i motor swap which comes from a 1998 Toyota Chaser from Japan, it's puts out about 280whp and 280ftq at 2400rpms with 10psi of boost. Beast motor which one day I will drive again. Just for the moment I'm going to be enjoying my new found hobby and that is driving these super nice back roads and off road trails with my new truck. I recently on January just purchased my first truck and that is my 2009 Toyota Tacoma TRD O.R. 4x4 6 Speed Access Cab. One of my best investments. Now it's time to work on this beast and see what we can do here. First thing I did was put on new suspension I found online, I wouldn't have but, I did. I put all new shocks around which came from a 2017 Toyota Tacoma O.R. which gave me 1 inch lift on front and an all around smoother ride due to old shocks being worn out. Now I said I wouldn't have cause I could have gotten a more useful upgrade instead of stock replacements. Before any judgement I got the full set of shocks, springs, and upper control arms for $100. Why not. Second upgrade was my A.R.E MX camper shell which is real nice. One of the best upgrades so far for me. Well that's about all I have for now, the truck build will be slow but sure since it's my daily. I will keep enjoying the backroads and all this truck has to offer me. The cressida is still in works if anyone is interested in classic Yoda's, hit me up I'd be glad to answer any questions on that subject as far as motor swap D.I.Y's, suspension setups for lowered vehicles.. etc.. and I sure as hell will use Tacoma World for good uses and see what more there is for me HERE.

Thanks everyone for you time. Have a great evening!

That's a cool that the 3rd gen suspension fits the 2nd gen and a great deal.

Yup fits just like stock, looks like what gives the 1 inch lift in front is the 3rd gen springs are a tad bit thicker.

Couple pics of the truck after work. Little dirty, just came back from a 4 day trip from Vegas friday. While I was there I visited the red rock canyon. They have a pretty nice 4x4 high clearance road there that's easy the first 2 or 3 miles then it gets real tricky. 20170624_192735.jpg 20170624_192717.jpg

Hello once again Tacoma World! So. I am no longer new here but, I did want to get something out. I am undergoing making my wife and I a bigger family. I've been with this woman for 8 years and I think it's time for me to bring another member to this family. So with that being said. When I purchased my truck, my wife and I did not think we were going to have kids anytime soon. Now that all changed when my grandfather passed along with my wife's grandfather as well, now both of us only have our grandmothers a would love to introduce and great grandson or great grandaughter to them before it's to late. Since plans have changed and my access can may not suit me anymore. I will shortly be putting my truck up for sale just going to gather some time for photos and a description and it will be up! I may also be selling all parts on the truck as well if nobody wants to buy it and just trade it to the dealer stock for a new double cab. Well. That's it for now.

Hey guys... I’m very sad at this time. I think I lost my truck. I was in a collision Thursday October 18th. Thank god my wife and I are okay. It was a very hard strike, and we have very bad whiplash. As for the truck, Someone rear ended me on the 110 fwy exit on Manchester. I’m lifted and he was lowered. My axle pushed forward on the drivers side. The frame is bent where the left leaf spring rear hanger is. My transmission is squeaking now.. idk.

    What do you think guys?..
