If that doesnt work go to HIDplanet.com and check out the tech page. I found a PDF instruction sheet on how to install MiniD2S projectors in late model Tacoma headlights

Might be worth reading to make sure you didnt skip a step

Hmm... I am not sure what you've got wrong here. First inclination is that your beam is aimed way too high... I will take a couple shitty cell pics in the morning when I go to work and post them into live. You can link them in here at that point. I am only 35w for now, and I am brighter than that. Take a pic of the back of your bulb with the plug removed as well as a shot with the light up against a wall.

    ill look into that...

im pretty positive its because my bulbs are not seated properly/tight enough. if i push the bulbs into the projector they get brither and the "black circle" im seeing goes away

Can you upload the PDF? It might be helpful to all of us that are doing the retro. I for one I'm only slightly "scared" of the trimming part for the gatling gun shrouds... specially since my whole setup is going to be painted in black chrome, so no black paint to go over fuckups. But who knows, there might be info in the PDF that would be really helpful to some in the electrical department.

the pictures dont do them justice now. the difference in what they were before i fixed them is night and day. and it was MUCH MUCH easier to assemble it the RIGHT way than it was the way i had it
