The molded sheath is better than kydex IMO because it will never deform do to heat or cold. It also gives the most secure click in, you know it's NEVER coming out unless you want it to. I got the clip because the design of the clip is the same thing, it's not coming off unless you want it to.

The clip will fit in a molle lock as well as any place else

And the ESEE isn't? I've got an ESEE4 and I really don't care for it. It's overly heavy in a 4" blade and the handle is too short; the scales need some texturing too but that's a personal thing and easy enough to add. They're beautifully made and I've never read a negative review of them as far as quality, it just doesn't feel right in my hand. As a survival type knife that you could pry and baton with it'd be fine, but it'd be tiring to use as a hunting knife I think. Mine's new in the bag (although the cat felt the need to chew on the bag :der: ) if you're interested in it I'll make you a good deal since I want to try their 5". Black plain edge with green scales and the full mounting system; I'll be home in a couple of weeks. The ESEE 5 has a longer handle which I think I'd prefer more.

Depending on what you're willing to spend, I like some of the Dozier and Bark River knives for a hunting style and the knife I use most myself (as a hunting knife) is an AG Russell Canadian Belt Knife. It's kinda funny looking until you try it then you realize it works very well for most tasks.

    They make several sizes too.

You think the 4 is bad but you want to try a 5? LOL, the 5 is a prybar. 1/4in thick. The 5 is over 2x as heavy as the 4. 16oz for the 5... 7.6oz for the 4. If you want plenty of handle go with a 6, it's only 11oz but big handle, big belly, 3/16in thick
